The Shelter renovations are finally finished and everyone is settling into all the new spaces. As we adjust to the changes in the shelter and plan our goals for this year, I feel confident of where we are going and what we have and will accomplish.
Most of this confidence stems from many sources. We have a board that is dedicated to guiding us on our journey and a group of supportive donors and members always willing to help when ACS has a need. ACS has a core of wonderful volunteers, who humble me with their dedication and a remarkable staff who really care about what they do every day. Two of our newest staff members are Virginia Hottinger and Leslie Rojas, who have become part of our ACS family.
Other supportive sources are our local veterinarians; St. Mathews Animal Clinic, Pewee Valley Veterinary Clinic, Evergreen Animal Hospital, Barbour Lane Animal Hospital, Chenoweth Lane Animal Clinic, Animal Medical Center, Hurstbourne Animal Hospital, Country Animal Hospital, Crestwood Veterinary Hospital, Doerr Animal Clinic, Johnson Animal Clinic, and Preston Animal Hospital and businesses such as; Manning Enterprises, Pods, Pet Suites, All About Pets Animal Resort, Bark Busters, Feeder Supply, Sara Beavin/Pet First Aid, Access SVR, Atlas Brown, Oldfather Law Firm, Lyndon Fire & Rescue, L & D Mail Master, PNC Bank, and Durbin Plumbing. Every organization needs a support system and we feel blessed to work with such generous businesses and people.
Raising funds for the animals is always a goal for the shelter, so please watch our website site for more information and other upcoming events. Here are dates for some of the events already scheduled this year; Stevie Ray’s 6th Annual Hall of Fame Benefit- March 17th, Atria Fashion Show- April 17th, Yard Sale- May 31st , June 1st – 2nd, Bark in the Park- September 28th, and the Bow Wow Meow Boutique- December 6th– 8th .
Best Wishes for the New Year,
